Samar
The luxury yacht ‘SAMAR’ was launched in 2006. The ship is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system consisting of three Wärtsilä diesel generators and two drive motors with twin Wärtsilä fixed-pitch propellers.
Together, they provide the yacht’s top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The ‘M/Y SAMAR’ is a steel-and-aluminium Laurent Giles designed luxury motor yacht, with studio and interior styling by Joe Thome. She was built and launched by Devonport Yachts of England.
