Wärtsilä in Guatemala is part of Services Unit Central America formed together with Wärtsilä in Panama and Wärtsilä in Mexico to expand the technical expertise and ability to cover customer needs everywhere in the region.
Wärtsilä Guatemala S.A. was registered as a company in September 1998 and started operations in 1999 with the turbocharger workshop and field services for engines. At the same time the company started offering services solutions to Power Plants installations and developing new projects in Central America. Today more than 1500 MW installed capacity is available in the region.
With more than 40 professionals we provide a wide variety of services in our 900m2 workshop, e.g. cylinder head overhauls, liner honing, turbochargers, governor and fuel injection workshop, and others services.
During 2004 we obtained ISO9001 certification and at the end of 2007 ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. We are committed to offer and deliver high quality in all our products and services to our customers in energy and industrial sectors, providing at the same time a safety and healthy environment to our employees.
