The Wärtsilä fund
Wärtsilä is a large employer and it is important for us to support activities that make a positive contribution to the local environment of our employees and their families.
Each year we allocate funds specifically for this purpose. The funds are distributed twice a year, and the next application deadlines are 10 March and 10 September 2013. We encourage clubs and associations to send in their application.
Application criteria:
- We are looking for activities and projects that illustrate drive and enthusiasm, and thereby support Wärtsilä’s values: Energy, excellence and excitement.
- The applicant must be of public utility within the areas of culture, sports or other initiatives within the local environment, and not include tasks that can be seen to be the State’s responsibility.
- Applications regarding general running expenses will not be prioritised.
Company guidelines state that religious or political purposes may not be awarded funding.
To apply, please fill in the application form found here. Fill in the requested information and press “Søk”. Please write the name of your club or association in the e-mail that the form is sent through. You can expect a response to your application within three weeks after the application deadline.
Please note that applications sent in before 10th March will be considered immediately after the expiration of the first deadline. If you want to be considered also for the deadline in September, you must send in a new application after 10th March.
